Problem: I have primary emails coming into Gmail and Yahoo. I was able to set up my Gmail accounts without a hitch in the new Outlook.
My Yahoo account though, will not seem to get set up. Questions: Can Yahoo (through sbcglobal.net or att.net) be attached to Outlook? If yes, can it both receive and send? If yes, can it save with folders synced as they are setup at Yahoo? Does the account actually sync or just download/upload? Must I use Pop, IMAP, both, neither, other?? If so, EXACTLY what are the setup parts, from 'name' to 'email' versus 'account' and then of course, all those funky Advanced Settings with ports and such?

I pay Yahoo for a Plus account which gives me a few additional capabilities (I can't remember what! Anymore). At one point I read that if that is the case you have to add the 'plus' in the incoming and outgoing mail server as follows below. This seemed to work again for me: Otherwise the settings others recommended were the same. Incoming Mail Server (POP3): plus.pop.mail.yahoo.com Use SSL, port: 995.
Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP): plus.smtp.mail.yahoo.com Use SSL, port: 465, use authentication.s So to summarize: I put only my user name in the first screen. Here is what it looks like (using only my name and not my email address) In advanced settings: t. Questions: Can Yahoo (through sbcglobal.net or att.net) be attached to Outlook?
